Daniel Moti
Innovation and technology consultant in Copenhagen
I help companies put cutting-edge technology to work: AI, automation and custom software that replace slow, manual processes, designed around the people who use them. I’m an engineer based in Copenhagen, working with companies of any size, in Denmark and internationally. All communication is in English.
I’m an engineer and innovation consultant based in Copenhagen. Companies bring me in when they want to use new technology, AI especially, and need someone who can take it from idea to a system people use every day.
I’ve spent my career inside industry: automotive at Continental, smart metering at Kamstrup, aerospace composites at Duqueine. I’ve programmed PLCs, digitalized maintenance and document control, and built VR simulations and digital twins for production and LEAN teams. At Kamstrup I ran learning sessions with senior leaders from manufacturing systems, supply chain and LEAN, where we decided together what to build and test next. That’s where I learned how operations really run, and that a new tool only succeeds when the people using it are on board.
Today I run my own consultancy and take projects end to end: understanding the business, designing the system, building it and training the team. My most recent project is an operations platform for BikeNorth, where a locally run AI model reads incoming agency bookings and staff confirm what it suggests. I also build my own products, such as Aule Writer, an AI writing assistant that keeps student data inside the school.
I have a master’s in business and technology from Aarhus University and a bachelor’s in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, where I led the student organisation Liga MPT, representing more than 600 students. All communication is in English, and I hold every project to the standard Denmark is known for: clear, reliable and built to last.
Portfolio
One system runs the whole company: online booking, QR-code bike handovers, and an AI model that reads agency booking emails while staff stay in control.
Decision sessions with production leadership, a real-time OEE view where a daily figure was asked for, and an algorithm that plans production layouts.
AI writing help for the classroom, with no student data leaving the school’s own machines. Piloted in a school in Romania.
Web apps across process, production and maintenance, including barcode-based maintenance tracking that cut manual data entry by 40%.
Sorts photos and videos, checks backups for missing or corrupted files, and shrinks files in one click.
My master’s thesis: a space game about leaving an Earth made uninhabitable by climate change, reworked after play-tests and interviews.
More than ten language models, from ChatGPT and Gemini to Llama, Mistral and Qwen, tested side by side on the same tasks, locally and in the cloud.
Siemens S7 PLC programs for three automation projects running at once, and support that fixed most client issues within a day.
Freelance 3D design through the pandemic: mechanical parts modelled, simulated and made ready to manufacture.
A machine learning model that predicts whether a skin product will cause a rash, built for Bayer’s Digital Campus Challenge.
From assembling and testing car instrument clusters on the shop floor to running my own project as assistant project manager.
Second place at an international conference, with a research paper on how good leadership raises the performance of workers.
Machine learning competitions: image processing, house-price regression and the Titanic dataset, learned by building.
Programming a Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machine to check plastic parts to a hundredth of a millimetre.
President of a student organisation that represented more than 600 engineering students.
Two summers working in the United States, far from home: a yacht club in Montauk, New York, and a hotel in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Mathematics and computer science in C++, ending with an anti-cheating app that kept students inside their exam.
From Arad to Copenhagen

What I do
- AI people can trust
AI tools where your people stay in control of every decision, and your data stays on your own machines when it needs to.
- AI and automation
Language models, run locally or in the cloud, that read, sort and act on the emails and documents your team handles by hand.
- Operations platforms
Custom software that runs bookings, inventory and daily operations in one place, built to grow into new markets.
- Process digitalization
Barcode and QR tracking, digital work instructions and document control that replace paper and spreadsheets.
- VR and digital twins
Virtual models of your production for planning, training and process improvement.
- Technology assessment
An independent comparison of the AI models and tools worth adopting, before you commit budget.
How I work
- Understand
I spend time with the people doing the work to see how it really runs, workarounds included, and whether technology is the right answer.
- Design
A written proposal with the new workflow, scope, timeline and cost.
- Test
Working versions tried by the people who will use them, and changed based on what they find.
- Adopt
Training for your team, documentation, and support until the new way is simply how the work gets done.
Get in touch
Have a process that should run faster, or a technology you want to put to work? Tell me about it.
I reply within two working days. If I can help, we start with a free 30-minute call. If I can’t, I’ll say so, and point you to someone who can if I know one.
